Responsibilities

Conducting Auctions: Oversee auctions, guide the bidding process, and ensure fair, transparent transactions. Researching Artwork: Research the history, provenance, and value of artworks to provide accurate information to bidders. Interacting with Clients: Build relationships with buyers and sellers, offering excellent customer service and advice. Promoting Auctions: Participate in marketing and promotional activities to generate interest and attract potential bidders. Handling Logistics: Coordinate the transportation, display, and storage of artworks for auctions.

Requirements & Qualifications

Knowledge of Art: In-depth understanding of art history, movements, and valuation factors. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for engaging with bidders and presenting artwork. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients, handle negotiations, and maintain professionalism. Business Acumen: Basic knowledge of business principles, pricing, marketing, and finance. Experience: Formal training or relevant experience in the art world or auction environments is preferred.
